New chapter president Alexis Zulueta announced her board’s calendar of activities during the general membership meeting held last November 3 at the Contra Costa Water District.
First up is an early Christmas party on Sunday, Dec. 2 at the Sunset Park Cabana in Walnut Creek. This will be followed a week later by a fun fundraising event, a casino trip to the Feather Falls and Gold Country Casinos in Oroville, CA. Both events feature moderately-priced tickets: $10 for the Christmas party and $25 (including $20 in cash/chips) for the casino trip. In a departure from previous practice, the annual anniversary dinner-dance will be held in early March instead of its usual Valentine date. In May, the chapter will usher in better weather by finally holding its long-postponed golf tournament.

Both board and general membership meetings will be held at the Contra Costa Water District unless otherwise advised.
