In response to the needs of indigent UP students undergoing remote mode of learning brought about by the pandemic, a fundraising activity was launched last July 2020 under the banner: Kaagapay sa Pagaaral ng mga Iskolar ng Bayan. The goal is to acquire computers and sustain internet connectivity for the students.
This campaign was spearheaded by Dr. Elena E. Pernia, UP VP for Public Affairs while the operation is being coordinated by Jeanette L. Yasol-Naval , Director of the UP Padayon Public Service Office.
As of March 8, 2021, the UP Kaagapay Program has collected a net total of PhP 8,489,029.59 and USD 30,636.91. So far, gadget grants were distributed to 241 students amounting to PhP 5,094,150.00. The current Kaagapay Secretariat, Charles Ramos, provides update of the fund accounting.

Our chapter wired that dollar amount to the UP Foundation on March 30, 2021. UP Foundation through Gerry Agulto will earmark the fund in behalf of the Kaagapay Program.
