University of the Philippines Alumni Association of Northern California (Berkeley)

Organized in 1968, the UPAA Northern California (Berkeley) is the first alumni chapter outside the Philippines. We are a duly chartered 501(c)(3) non-profit that serves to promote fellowship among Bay Area UP alumni while engaging in projects benefitting the alma mater as well as local charities.

The UPAANC Berkeley chapter is sponsoring a long overdue Philippine Madrigal concert on Friday, August 11, 2017 at the Lesher Center of the Arts in Walnut Creek! This will be the third time in 10 years that the chapter is sponsoring the Madz, as the world-acclaimed choir is lovingly known. The last time the Madz were here though was back in 2011. Co-sponsoring the event this time around is Music Repertoire, headed by chapter music chair and former Madz singer Henry Torres. For $30 orchestra and $25 balcony pre-concert ticket sales as well souvenir program advertisements, contact Romi Beza @ 925.683.7717 and/or Jay Castro @ 925.899.8881. Tickets can be bought also at the theater box office (please check theater website for ticketing hours) as well as the theater website www.lesherartscenter.org (convenience fees apply). Come and enjoy the Madz magic!
